Impact on Hunger
FEAST
Established in 2013, FEAST's mission is to promote health and wellness in communities through the power of healthy foods and human connection. Poor nutrition, unhealthy eating habits, and social isolation are the leading contributors to diet-related diseases, including diabetes, high cholesterol, and heart disease. And while these issues impact an overwhelming number of Americans today, families in under-resourced neighborhoods are impacted the most.
World Central Kitchen
Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, World Central Kitchen is a nonprofit organization that is first to the frontlines providing fresh meals in response to crises, while working to build resilient food systems with locally led solutions. Applying their model of quick action, leveraging local resources, and adapting in real time, WCK has served more than 300 million nourishing meals around the world.
Wholesome Wave
Wholesome Wave is a national non-profit established on the belief that affordable access to fresh fruits and vegetables is a fundamental human right. Their mission is to raise awareness about nutrition insecurity and its effects on our most vulnerable communities and make fruits and vegetables more accessible and affordable for those suffering from diet-related health risks and conditions, particularly those suffering from the impacts of racial, ethnic, and income inequities.
